Join us Friday, June 2 at 9:40 a.m. for our Friday Financial Forum. We will meet at the Friday Forum Room at Arvest's East Side Branch, located at 4225 S.E. Adams Rd. in Bartlesville, Okla.*

We will have a 9:40 a.m. pre-forum performance from the Bartlesville band, River Cross Ramblers, a mixture of styles and voices featuring Alan Gentes and Tim Hudson. In keeping with the band’s ambitious mission, their influences are likewise eclectic. Citing artists all across the musical spectrum, the Ramblers draw inspiration from unlikely sources. The group will be included in OK Mozart Showcase events schedule, performing on Friday, June 16, 10 - 11 a.m. at Ambler Hall.

Our featured speakers are the 33rd annual OK Mozart Festival’s Grace Farmer, showcase director, and Susan Albert, marketing director and public relations, who will be bringing the details of the festival to be held June 8-16. This year’s festival is filled with excitement and a little something for everyone with a diverse, highly-acclaimed musical talent for residents and visitors alike to enjoy in classical, jazz, blues, rock and other mixed genres.

The 9-day event kicks off Thursday, June 8 with a free street party 5 - 7:45 p.m. at Silas Street and Price Tower featuring the 145th Army Band, followed by western blues band Honey Blue. Kids will enjoy sidewalk art, bouncy house, Captain Armando and Gypsy Glitter.

Main Stage Concerts at the Bartlesville Community Center include: Cowboy crooner Michael Martin Murphey accompanied by the world-class Bartlesville Symphony Orchestra; the harmony-rich sound of Wilson Phillips, a vocal trio comprised of sisters Carnie and Wendy Wilson and Chynna Phillips; trained, golden-voiced Chris Mann, star of the  “The Phantom of the Opera”  tour accompanied by the Bartlesville Symphony; and the world premiere of composer Jerod Tate’s Muscogee Hymn Suite, commissioned and performed by the Tulsa Symphony Orchestra.

Chamber music performances, always popular with OK Mozart fans, will be held June 12-15 in Ambler Hall featuring the exciting Miró Quartet and Oklahoma’s own Brightmusic Society with Trio Solari. The world premiere of the Joseph F. Tyldesley composition, “Homage to Haydn,” will be performed by the trio, who also commissioned the piece.

If you enjoy music out on the green, the Concert Under the Stars with entertainment by jazz band Mojo at Sooner Park and the Woolaroc concert of Disney classics performed by the Tulsa Symphony Orchestra with fireworks over the lake will be for you!

A full spectrum of showcase events is planned again this year, including children’s activities, folk and jazz entertainment at the Price Tower, a tribute to Gershwin by Those Two! among 21 other events featuring outstanding performers and exciting venues.
