We’re excited to announce the addition of four new debit card designs to our specialty debit card collection! The four new cards make up our first responders collection and feature fire rescue, police, medical services and paramedics.

First responders put their lives on the line every day, and several hundred die every year, in order to protect and serve our communities. The Department of Homeland Security estimates in the U.S. there are more than 1 million firefighters, 556,000 full-time employees in local police departments, 291,000 full-time employees in sheriffs’ offices and over 155,000 registered EMTs. Now you can show your support and appreciation for these dedicated public servants every time you swipe your card.

Before debit cards became commonplace, banking customers expressed themselves with designer checks. Remember those pictures of fluffy cats, cartoon characters or the green marble with gold foil edges? From 2000 to 2010 the use of paper checks decreased from 61 percent to 26 percent* as consumers moved away from using paper checks toward more frequent use of debit cards.

Just because we’ve progressed technologically to debit cards doesn’t mean we have to give up personality which is why Arvest launched their affinity cards several years ago. The design options started with supporting local community sports teams and have grown to encompass designs featuring military/patriotic, great outdoors, abstract art, whimsical, destinations and the recently added first responders. You can view the complete collection here.

These debit cards are free when you open any new checking account. For existing customers a $5 replacement fee will apply. If you order a replacement card, then your card number should not change. Please confirm with your Arvest banker you want to keep your existing card number. To order your card call (866) 952-9523 or visit your local branch.
